Spring Break 2012

As has been our annual tradition, we trucked on down to California and played for the week. Super fun because not only was Daddy able to join us all week but my sister and her family were there, too. I’m pretty sure the entire western half of the US had spring break that week – as it was crowded enough to scare me away from Disney for a few more years.

Before we braved the crowds, we had a blast playing with LOTS and LOTS of family, including an Easter egg hunt at Nana and Papa’s house. The kids had a great time and it was so fun to sit around with my siblings, parents and grandmother and reminisce. I love the banter and joking we enjoyed. It felt like Home. I wish we could all be together more often.

We used points and got to stay in a hotel near disney which gave us some great family time. It seems like, as my kids get older and more involved in school, sports and friends, we see each other less and less. Vacations have become a necessity to come back together as a family unit. And as awesome as it is to spend time with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents, it’s equally as awesome to just be US, ya know?
