...even though our map of the ginormous lake blew away after about 30 minutes on the lake and our fuel gauge was broken. being lost on a ginormous lake while largely unaware of the exact moment when the boat would stop running makes for an anxious boat captain (but a pretty funny story - we'll take it!).
...even though it was probably one of the more expensive trips we took this summer. it didn't seem to matter.
...especially while watching children holding on to a tube for dear life, trying to use hand motions to tell the driver to speed up and then watching said children bounce OFF the tube and skim across the wake.
...especially when the water is as warm as the air.
...especially when the views are breathtaking.
...especially when you hear your kids laugh like THAT. pure joy as a mom.
...especially when your boys, who spent the summer as archenemies and fought constantly, couldn't get enough of each other.
(remember slug bug and the license plate game? synchronized DS games are way cooler and far more peaceful. i love technology.)
so, even though my friend told me of it's magic, i didn't really believe it. i mean, i knew it was cool but it's cool beyond words.
so, thank-you, lake powell, you really are magical.
