I have lizards

We are not snow people.

We are not cold people.

We are sun people.

We like to find the warmth, curl up and bake in it.

We like rocks, sand and water.

We are heat-seekers.

I'm sure without me, my children may have learned to adapt better to the cold. But when it first snows, my children get excited, play in the snow for about 15 minutes then come inside, throw their snow stuff on the ground and never pick it up again.

And then we just wilt until spring.

This weekend convinced me that i didn't actually give birth to children but lizards.

You think i jest? Just take a look...

We found this little jewel in St. George... it's called Snow Canyon State Park. It was a whopping 55 degrees and it felt ridiculously warm.
These rocks were a geological dream come true. We climbed all over petrified sand dunes and lava flows, actual sand dunes, hiked in native plants and saw lots of lizards.
We ran, walked, climbed and imagined and were WARM.
It was SO great. It was like having a little bit of life being breathed back into our bodies after this winter of single-digit, inversion temperatures.
